How come you are still using the new chat format? I believe you said we would vote on it and I also believe it was a landslide for the old format, please explain.
Scott, can you sort out Matt Cassel's contract situation with the Chiefs? Are they on the hook for $14.6 million? Is he still a free agent? And wasn't that why the Patriots franchised him in the first place, so they'd get first round picks if he signed with another team?
Who do you consider more disappointing, the basketball season or the new Song Girls?
Petros Papadakis used to mock the Tings relentlessly on his radio show, when on a daily basis he would call them the most useless football players he had ever come across and said they were nothing more than posers. So do you know if Petros is aware of the Tings' current dalliance, their website, and what he thinks about all of this?
Should we be worried about the small number of commits we have so far [last time I checked it was only 2, about a week ago] plus maybe a silent or two, in view of the 20 or so offers we have out now, or is that about the way it goes every year?
I guess I was hoping that if we make an offer, we'd get some more instant commits: doesn't that happen a lot, Scott? Thanx.
BoscoH:
Damn it I explained that to you. Yes, NE placed the franchise tag to make him a restricted FA. That way if any team outbids NE they have to pay with DC's. Technically he is still a [restricted FA] until a contract extension is worked out. BoscoH do you think KC is going to be dumb enough NOT to give MC a contract extension? KC new Mgr. Scott Pioli was a NE front office big shot so he knows about the salary cap implications. What KC is going to do will be to maneuver the $14.6 Mil salary into an extension so its impact on the salary cap is the minimum. ALL the teams do that ALL the time. You have a computer. Do yourself a favor and go to www.nfl.com and it is explained in detail so you can understand it, OK? If I'm wrong come back and blast me, OK? My hair won't fall-off if you do; sheesh...
HI WOLFIE:
Do you personally beleive the story that Norm asked Manti not to attend USC? Thanks as always!
SW have you checked the two links posted on your Blind Item of the Day thread? They are in response to Mr. Butler who is Bryce Brown "adviser" for the lack of a better term. My question is would the NCAA tighten-up or close any loop holes that Mr. Butler seems to circumvent?
Thank you
Rather than listing all the basketball players Daniel Hackett has gotten into fights with over the past three years, wouldn't it just be quicker and easier to name who he hasn't had altercations with?
Forget Amanda Pflugrad, how about a having a daily Picture of the Day of the Ting twins?
A hypothetical:
In 2008 Donovan miraculously leads the Galaxy to a MLS title. Beckham plays same mediocre-at-best here and with Milan.
Come 2009; Where is Beckam, where does he want to be and what state is MLS in both cases?
What is your opinion and insight of the Ting brothers while at USC; on the field, off the field and with their teammates in general?
How come the Tings never won the Heisman Trophy? Did they split each other's votes?
Is USC recruiting linebackers, cornerbacks, wide receivers and tight ends in recruiting?
Has USC offered Tevin McDonald and Pete Thomas, are both players likely to commit to USC? Please explain.
Hey Scott, Matt Barkley is bigger than AC, MM, and GG, so my question is MB chubby, buff, or are the other QBs naturally smaller than MB?
Scott, why do you think the Trojans withdrew their offer to Brown?
Do you know which high school and junior college players were offered spots next year as preferred walk on's and walk-on's? Also, was former USC running back Michael Coleman offered a walk on spot?
Scott, at this time of the year, how much control, if any, do the coaches have over unsupervised workouts, weight training, etc., like, are they able to monitor in some way, who is doing what, etc., or must they keep a one hundred percent hands off, i.e., know nothing approach? Thank you.
If it's know nothing, do most coaches circumvent this rule in some way?
I heard that due to the recent exodus of assistant coaches from USC, Pete Carroll changed the warm-up music to Whitesnake's 'Here I Go Again'. Is this true?
If Matt Barkley were to win the starting job, would that hurt or help recruiting overall? On one hand, recruits would know that they have a true chance to compete and earn a starting job right away. On the other hand, recruits may look at Mustain and Corp (2 highly touted players coming out of HS) and would be concerned that the same thing could happen to them.
