Who Knew?

Oregon State coach Craig Robinson inherited a program in shambles . . . and in Corvallis, Ore. But tonight he is a half-game ahead of USC in the Pac-10 standings. Like I've said before, it's a good thing no one really cares about basketball.

I for one care about SC basketball and have for many years now. One day I will see a championship for the Trojans, maybe next year.

College basketball is almost unwatchable.

Has, or will, Craig Robinson go to the NCAA tourney 2 out of 3 years, make the sweet 16 in one of those 2 years, and recruit 3 consecutive McDonald's All- Americans? With early NBA entry, every program is susceptible to a down year. Think Coach Howland is please with his season? Remember that Ryan Francis would have been a senior PG with 4 years experience this season, and SC has one of the best hoops recruiting classes in history coming in next season. If you are still in doubt, track Coach Floyd's Southland recruiting success, and you will notice a definite trend up year over year to levels never before reached by SC hoops.

Hey LJ,

That was embarrassing! I thought we had a chance at a split, but the OT loss on Thursday made today's meltdown a foregone conclusion. The ruins owe us a big thank you for softening up the Kommies for them.

Field goal and free throw shooting was abysmal and so was our rebounding. All Stanford had to do was attack Gibson and it was game over. Floyd had better put out this dumpster fire pronto or we're going to get swept next week as well.

Uh oh, here comes Zoulou and the gang from the Chronicles!

wow, DFW, you go with that and keep hoping the trojans just make the NIT. Not beyond them to lose 3 more in a row.

Huh, wha?

Loco, I had better things to do on a gorgeous Saturday night in Los Angeles than to search for a bar that bother to show the game then rum home to comment on a blog. Didn't even know what happened till this morning.

Anyway, I feel bad for the students and fans and the players. Except for DeMar (and maybe Taj, but I doubt it), no one on this team looks a though they are going to have a long NBA career, so the NCAA Tournament is their playoff experience. And season ending collapses are demoralizing.

There isn't anything more to say. I think the last seven games have made my point better than any ranting and raving or snarky comments made on a blog.
