Broncos looking at Sanchez?

| | Comments (28) |

Jay Cutler asked to be traded from the Denver Broncos yesterday, and Denver might be interested in trading up to draft Mark Sanchez. Josh McDaniels liked former USC QB Matt Cassel so much he tried to trade for him and alienated Cuter. Could another USC product be McDaniels' answer?

Who is Chris McDaniels??

I think you mean Josh.

Why I keep coming to this site baffles me.

Tyler Author Profile Page said:

Answer. Yes.

Mark will be USC's best QB at the next level inside of 3 years and the first of the PC era QBs to take a team to the Super Bowl. Mark it down.

As a Bears fan "FOR THE LOVE GOD JERRY ANGELO, MAKE THE TRADE FOR CUTLER"... As a Trojan fan, I would love to see Mark in Denver. Fight On!

I'm dreading the hour of Wolf's return.

Tyler, Wasn't Pat Haden the only SC quarterback of any era to take a team to the Super Bowl? And he didn't even get to play!

Wolf, take a few more weeks off.. like maybe 52 weeks

Tyler Author Profile Page said:

I believe you are right sir.

There's something about Mark that just reeks of success. He has Romo's moxy and mobility but a much better pedigree backing him up. He should feel less pressure to prove himself as a result.

I don't know about the rumored arm strength problems because I saw him throw a couple tight 15-20 yard outs to PT a couple times last season and if you can make that throw you can play in the league and be successful.

kptrojan Author Profile Page said:

Tyler and BoscoH, you are both correct, but Pat didn't play the whole season. In week 10, he broke his finger (lost for the rest of the season), and Vince "what a mistake the CFL was" Ferragamo took them the rest of the way.

I know times are tough and all, but could we arrange to buy out Wolf's contract?

Sam Gilbert Author Profile Page said:

I'd like to see Mark Sanchez wind up with the Broncos, it's not a bad situation to step into.

btw: Aren't we all being a little hard on Wolf? He does pretty well with the chats and Q&A's.

It's so pathetic that the same 10 people come on every day just to whine about the awfulness of Wolfie. There's certainly no shortage of rah-rah USC sites on the net. Why can't you people spend your time there and stop with the constant bitching here.

What's funny, The Curious Case of Cole Ford, is that your comment is the whiniest and bitchy of all the comments. And since when is bashing wolf considered being a rah-rah? Apparently if you point out obvious facts you are a rah-rah.

The thing I miss about Scott is that he posts often.

The Curious Case of Cole Ford,

I'm one of those who complains about Scott frequently but not for any of the reasons you stated. I have no problems with reporters pointing out negative things about the program. Hell, I fully expect them to where warranted. Eventually everyone close to the program becomes a yes-man and I believe good journalism can help keep those in charge in check and prevent a program from believing they're greater than the rules.

I'm not looking for nor did I ever need a rah-rah reporter. What I am looking though for is a competent one. One who does the necessary leg work/research and gives me insight into things I would not know otherwise. Scott rarely if ever does that. (Scroll through the last few weeks of Scott's posts and count the total number of posts that actually include any real pertinent USC related news.)

What you will find is that Scott spends most of his posts talking about cheerleaders from another school, his obsessive, petty, too-many-years-long dislike of the most accomplished QB in USC history, random sightings of USC athletes and ex-coaches and reheated news broken elsewhere first. Almost nothing he posts here contains any substance. Jill has been covering for him for less than 2 weeks and I've already read more interesting stuff in that time than I've seen all year to date from Scott.

Scott has the greatest opportunity of any college beat reporter in the country. He's a beat reporter for what might be the greatest college football program of all time when all is said and done. Any reporter worth his salt would see what a gold-mine this opportunity is and leverage it into something career defining. Instead Scott decides to waste this time detailing the exploits of 18-20 year old girls and a cheerleader from another college that will have graduated in a few years.

Rah-rah is the least of my problems...

My two cents are that there are plenty of straight news and insightful opinion blogs out there. I come back because Scott's snarkiness amuses me. But, trust me, I totally hear your negs.

1. Jill Painter has posted on the SUCLA blog for a long time, so I don't trust her. That said, her commentary is all sports which of course trumps Scott Wolf's "I'll do anything I want on MY blog, because it is MY blog, you understand!"

2. Objectively, I will give Mr. Wolf kudos for some good information on his Question-and-Answer segment, and occasionaly on his updated Posts.

3. Wolf's girly whirly segment SUCKS. This Wolf guy is weird and immature, and many of us have tried to educate him, but you can't educate a monkey, especially a monkey who thinks he is superior to you. I think of Wolf as one of those guys who has no girlfriend and few male friends, and truly hates the world.

4. We are stuck Wolf, so live with it. Painter is a SUCLA supporter, so go riddance. And she is bonded with Mr. SUCLA Fascist Brian Dohn, a man I would love to face in a mano-a-mano fight. Dohn is a hypocrite and he sucks, just like SUCLA

5. I am usually fairly gentlemanly, but when it comes to SUCLA I have to speak the truth.

Some would like us to believe that bald, trite, and creepy are the new sexy. Good luck with that CCCF.

I'm sure there is something for that niche on the Web as well and invite all Smeagol-Wolf sycophants and fetish associates to live out their pining days there. And I'm sure, if you ask nicely, Smeagol-Wolf will add you as a friend.

Better, this makes the blog.

Meditate on this, you must.

The positive about this blog and why I keep coming back is that it is always updated and changing. I do agree with many of the negative comments about it. The obsession with one Oregon cheerleader is downright disturbing.
