Upon further reflection, I believe that this may have been a seminal moment in USC hoops history. Surely, our first Pac 10 tourney championship was just that. But, we also beat UCLA in the tourney, overcame significant adversity this season, made a huge comeback in the finals, and had possibly our greatest recruiting class ever. And, we made the big dance 3x in a row, had 20 wins 3x in a row, and had 3 McDonalds All-American recruits 3x in a row. Regardless of how we do in the NCAA's this year, I believe that our Pac-10 tourney championship was a seminal event. The LA COLLEGE HOOPS DYNASTY IS NOW OVER.............HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to echo DFW T's thoughts and also give special props to Lawyer John, and Locoweed for being the true spirit of this Blog for the Basketball Team this season. With all the negative crap that has spewed regarding the team all season, just makes today that much better!!

Like DFW I don't care if they go one and done next week, I will remember today and last night for a long time to come. And also like DFW I think that today is the kick off of this great University being a consistent two sport school!!! Like Lawyer John I have also been waiting for this day for quite some time.

Fight on!!! It's a great day to be a Trojan!!!

Congratulations on making the NCAA tournament trOJies! With the big wins in the Pac-10 tournament is begs the question of why the team didn't do well in the regular season.

What hardware did Lil Romeo get besides the splinters in his rear end? He counts for the DeRozan scholarship too, no?

Congrats again - please represent the Pac-10 well in the Tournament!

Here's to our glorious Trojan Hoops Warriors and to all the believers! Especially LJ (who single-handedly smacked down two vile demons from the desert in section 110 today), and DFW, Gnossos, Run Traveller Run, Sam Gilbert, BoscoH, TsarGrozny, Caesar, Blue-Badge, and all the other cool heads that prevailed on this blog by doing what Trojans are supposed to do: FIGHT ON!

I will not generalize because there's a small handful of half-decent ruins out there; but ya know Rodney... tonight of all nights was indeed the most appropriate for you to prove conclusively what a sad little moron you are.

Oh, and the best part is that Wolf isn't here to kill the buzz and sour the mood.

For all you FUCLA trolls out there... have you seen this?

"Woods charged with battery

UCLA defensive back E.J. Woods has been charged with assaulting two female students, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office told the Los Angeles Times on Friday.

The 19-year-old freshman was charged with two counts of sexual battery and four counts of battery, the Times reported. He could face up to one year in jail for each sexual battery charge and six months for each battery charge.

The charges stem from three separate incidents at off-campus apartments between October and January, according to the city attorney's office.

Woods attended Encino Crespi High. He was not arrested. Instead, he received a voluntary appearance letter and is scheduled to be arraigned on April 6."

yes, we've seen that. good one. will be interesting to see how both the bruins and trojans do in the tourney. SC's momentum could be similar to Arizona's title run or it might have peaked. UCLA, on the other hand, seems to have all the momentum of a Ron Paul presidential bid. Doesn't matter where they land in the brackets, I'll have both out by the 16.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
