About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

A very interesting read. Thanks for the link, Scott. I will always remember "the drive" against WSU, and the TD pass to Morton. Great memories. Hopefully, he can get it together and be a good father. However, he seems to blame it on genetics ("the Fertigs"), instead of taking responsibility for HIS choices in life. Drug addiction, like alcoholism, is an insidious disease.
After reading the story, I really don't know whether or not to feel any sorrow for Todd. Yes, Marv did deprive him of a real childhood (but how many other children out there have not had any type of father support?). I did not realize how early Todd got in to the drug scene. I guess the one thing we can all learn from this is that no matter what you are given/provided, you have to take advantage of it, but that will not assure you of falling, and falling hard. Hopefully Todd will be able to live some what of a more stable life, that's all we can hope for him. Fight On!
I was 7 when I first saw TM play at SC. The guy was a stud. It's sad to see how his life has taken so many ups and downs. Good cautionary tale to all athletes whom find themselves living in a bubble of privlage.
