It was either the Spring Football game, or the local cow-milking and chicken-plucking contests to go to. And after Nebraska's spring game, the whole crowd was invited down to the pasture to watch the grass grow, and the cows ... well ... do you-know-what. Alabama's post-game spring ritual involves a still in the backwoods country while somebody stands guard, while Ohio State fans all dress up like Buckeyes, whatever a Buckeye is.
Old School, a Buckeye is a Nut. The Buckeyes went back to drinking what the Alabama people were brewing after spring game. That is all they have to do in Columbus but drank, watch Buckeye football and drank, dicuss how the team lost and drank, discuss why the coach aint fired and drank, beat their wives and drank, beat up their friends and drank, kick their own asses and drank. And for all of us going to the football game in the fall, beware that they will kick our ass after the game and drank.

Since these programs are renowned for their closed practices, and a Sat Spring practice is the best thing going in town that day compared to being at the beach, and attending an open practice at USC at anytime, ts apples and oranges trying to compare USC attendance to these schools. Oh, and being small market towns with small market newspapers prob has nothing to do with it either!
Imagine how many people would show up if these teams actually could beat a top opponent.

Actually, small town life is kind of neat. You can get around and see people much more easily, people drive more friendly, and life is slowed down. And what is wrong with having the college football team as the No. 1 town's attraction?
