How much does Tim Floyd utilize his assistant coaches for coaching, not just recruiting? Apart from Johnson, you never hear about Gib Arnold or Bob Cantu putting in games plans or doing anything for that matter coaching-related the way you might other coaching staffs, UCLA's as an example.

Scott, will there be an issue with our punter this year? Garrett Green was throwing the ball down the field when we practiced live punt returns today. I'm not sure if was because the punters were becoming fatigued, or because they couldn't kick the ball far enough.

On every spring practice I hear about Allen Bradford, and then it fall he disappears. I think he's the most suitable power back we have compared to all the other agile ones. Is there any chance that he can be more involved this fall?

No question, just a happy comment. I'm absolutely loving the recent concentration on spring practice and football related posts. Whether or not the other readers and I may agree with your opinions and commentary on specific plays, players, and coaches, at least we are talking football! I'm not missing the cheerleaders, podiums (podia for you Latin majors), or British league news one whit.

Did USC recruit current North Carolina power forward Deon Thompson who played in Southern California? He was great in the National Championship and would have been a good player here.
