It's official: Here's what a USC spokesperson just said regarding basketball recruit Noel Johnson.
``Yes, he asked for his release ... and USC is in the process of granting it ... there isn't a timetable, as there is some paperwork involved.''
Great. Wait until after the signing period, and then allow a release of our best recruit. At which point we have no possible way to replace him. I say don't release him.
Maybe he saw the writing on the wall from Mayo-gate. Maybe he met Daniel Hackett and find out why nobody wants to play with that a-hole. Maybe he threatened Timmmmay with reporting recruiting violations to the NCAA. Maybe all of the above.

I wouldn't expect the B-ruin Faithful to follow trojan sports, although one would think otherwise considering how often he/they are on this blog; however, Daniel Hackett will not be playing for us trojans this coming basketball season.
