Conference schedule turns against the Trojans next season with ASU, ucla, Stanford, and WSU plus probably Oregon on the road. Believe his initial contract was for three years so no buyout needed to get out of this situation. This eliminates the school from having to bid for a regional. Garrett can never admit to making a bad hire by cutting his losses only in football does a decision for change come sooner. It is interesting that in the major sports he only hires people out of a job or a local coach at a lesser institution (Pepperdine usually), not able to persuade a proven good coach from leaving a mid-major post to come west.
