USC point guard Donte Smith is transferring to Cal State San Bernardino. Smith averaged 2.6 points per game last season but was encouraged to go elsewhere in search of playing time after just one season with the Trojans.

Encouraged? I think his scholie was not renewed.
At least he picked one of the premier Division II programs on the West Coast and one the annually competes for the right to play for a national championship...better than he would off the 110.
