A Camp Not Canceled
Tim Floyd's basketball camp was canceled but football still ran a camp this weekend for hundreds of high school players. It was not the Rising Stars camp, which is later this month, but there were a couple interesting prospects, including offensive lineman Giovanni Di Poalo of St. Bonaventure, who was offered by Stanford and linebacker Brent Williams of Taft, who will attend Virginia Tech's camp later this summer.

Lakers win! Let's go to Westwood to riot!
LOL Farmar is standing around like a dope in the locker room. Bet he'll have to mop it up afterwards. LOL
That was a monkey, no, make that a gorilla off the Lakers' backs. After the sad ending with Boston last year, and the Lake favored in this series, the L.A. boys would have been called chokers if they had not brought their 15th trophy home. But they did it, and did it with style and guts.
And did you see the relief, more than happiness, on the faces of the boys. Kobe's of course, Phil even broke off a smile or two, and Fish. All the others, including Pau, had never won a title.
And so to borrow a phrase, "This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship {of winning world titles]." Kind of dwarfs SC and SUCLA basketball, you might say.
Just wait until next season. Manu will heal up, Tony will dominate, and Timmy will sustain. The Spurs will be back!
so now you know who Giovanni is; a few months ago you wrote: 'I never heard of him' in response to a question Iasked about him.
