Although UC Irvine did get eliminated from the NCAA baseball tournament, it's worth noting the Anteaters won more postseason games last weekend than USC's won in the past three years.

Do you think you can get some sort of discount at Nadine's Irish Mist for your loyal readers in exchange for all the publicity and patronage you have provided Miss Coyle's fine new estalishment?
A: I am going to propose that presently. And maybe we can get Petros Papadakis involved to truly scare this establishment into providing a discount.

I guess that must be the baby blue version of the LA Times silverlake-bruin is reading, because the article I read was criticizing USC's refusal to discuss the investigations with the media and the lack of obvious signs of diligent and continuing internal investigations. Like the article said, the "NCAA bylaws forbid schools from publicly disclosing information from the association's investigations until the probes are complete." USC is taking this a bit farther by also refusing to disclose information from its own investigation, under the theory that it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to NCAA rules. As far as the Bush investigation, a big reason for silence could simply be that the bulk of the internal investigation was probably completed three years ago--there's likely nothing new to report.
Scott: Any reaction from USC regarding being awarded the 2008 Pac-10 Men's Tennis championship, after UCLA self-reported using an ineligible player?
A: I addressed the article in part 4 of today's answers. I guess my reaction to the men's tennis team winning the title is the same as its winning an NCAA title a couple weeks ago: Congratulations!

How many games did usc usually win when it was a consensus #1 team?
