It was mentioned once in the forum about there being a story behind the Bryon Moore recruiting drama like Randall Carroll that Bryon Moore decommited from USC in order to commit to back to USC just to have his announcement on television and to publicize his career to escape the other recruits, have you looked in to this.I was curious about this story. Are all the incoming recruits eligible and enrolled in the school and are there any football players ineligible or out of school due to grades? Thank you for the forum.
A: There are 13 incoming players currently enrolled in summer school. That includes Hebron Fangupo, who is a JC transfer. So some of the freshman are still finishing up high school courses. Right now, none of the recruits are ineligible but that never gets determined until July or August anyways. I have not heard the story you mention about Byron Moore but I will ask him as soon as I speak to him.

If Paul Westphal doesn't land the NBA gig is he the BB coach right now?
A: No. He was the top choice when Henry Bibby got the job but preferred to remain in the NBA. His stock as a college coach also slipped from his stint at Pepperdine and I've never heard mentioned in the past two coaching searches (Majerus/Floyd, O'Neill). It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if he got the job in the 1990's though,

Has USC offered any recruits in the camps and are there any new commitments for the 2010 and 2011 classes? Any players that were great?
A: The camp that was run earlier in the month was not an elite prospect camp and USC is taking a wait-and-see attitude on trying to secure commitments anyways. There might be some offers this week at the Rising Stars camp, but as I mentioned a couple days, I don't think USC will aggressively seek commitments because it prefers a more under-the-radar approach after last season.

Westphal told me he wanted the USC job when it was given to Floyd. Said USC had not offered to him.
That was a mistake. A Trojan like him coming home could have been a pied piper. You don't get top talent at Pepperdine.
