Of course it would not be a baseball draft without USC in danger of losing its top prospects. Third baseban Matt Davidson of Yucaipa and shortstop Jiovanni Mier of La Verne are both potential first-round picks. Davidson hit 11 home runs and was 5-0 as a relief pitcher while Mier is considered the best prep prospect at shortstop.
