About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

The Donkey would have loved a win, but is not unhappy with the final results of the tournament.
The Donkey thinks Bradley needs to add some depth to his bench...and maybe better conditioned defenders.
Seems like we just ran out of gas.
Michael Bradley's presence would have helped alot. Then the tired legs problem would have been somewhat answered by being able to bring in Fielhaber instead of having to call on the underconfident turnover machine known as Sasha Klejstan. Frankie Hejduks injury makes us play Boca on the wing...instead of inside..Hes not really capable of running the wing for all 90, especially against the aggressive style of the Brazillians..thus, although gamely, Gooch and DeMerit were forced to stretch outside to help out on Boca's side thus overly stretching the middle defense...and that was all the Samba Kings needed to eventually win the match. I was very proud of the US today...the first half was beautiful...the Donovan goal was one for the highlight reels. Hopefully the MNT will just continue the effort to the world cup. The remainder of qualifying during the coming year will be a blessing to get this team up and ready for the WC. We did shock the world getting to this game today...it was the best quality experience we could have ever asked for, in WC preparations..
We will be a far deeper and competitive team come WC time...It's all good..
Wolfie,
Thank you for your updates on this heart-stopping action. Now, your beat is USC sports. Not soccer. If you can't contain your enthusiasm for this sport - you two belong together - please feel free to write a soccer column and give up the USC beat. We Trojans come here for USC news. Not boredom.
Thank God. The last thing we need is more pub for soccer. Just a terrible, terrible sport.
