Who cares. Talk to me about Girls Gone Aloud. Or maybe about the bar Nadine's Misty or whatever. That's what's really interesting. Please, another video!
Yeeeeaahhhh!!!
just in, this is.
next to resign, Darth Carroll is.
Star Wars Gazzette, does report.
calling i am, an emergency meeting of Jedi Counsel.
I loved it back a couple years ago after Floyd signed Mayo how he made the rounds on sports radio with his creative story of how the best high school player in the country CALLED HIM and asked to please come to U$C
It was the most amazing recruiting story ever told!
Floyd was simply astonished, why he couldnt believe such a player would just "fall into his lap"
This story has FRAUD written all over it fron the start! Floyd was the perfect coach for $C because he fits perfectly into the pretentious mold you all exist in.
Tim who?
Jeff Van Gundy
And hating USC more than loving UCLA fits the true Bruin mold perfectly as well.
Maybe now you can hire him into your dirty program. I think he's a distant cousin to Sam Gilbert.
testify, trubru must, testify.
The Force is strong in you, i sense.
faltering this night, The Dark Side is.
hrehn hrehn
He must be innocent! Why else would he bail? Coward
But hey I mean it's not like SC is known for being a dirty program or anything...
TruBruin:
Thanks for painting all the tens and hundreds of thousands of alumni with a broad brush. I guess subtle and discreet analysis isn't something taught at UCLA, but mindless, ignorant stereotypes are.
Some people were calling Floyd a con-man from WAAAYYY back. Trust me, there were many USC alumni who raised eyebrows at that story. And on the surface level, it probably is a true story: the NY Times reported that Guillory did call Floyd first. However, it looks as though this happened after first telling Mayo that USC might be a good fit for his one-and-done aspirations.
However, Floyd won enough to satiate the most vocal fans, especially the those who post on message boards. And Garrett, knowing nothing about basketball, choose to look the other way when he saw Guillory coming around the corner.
So who's going to hire the new coach? Garrett's 0 for 3 with basketball coaches; Bibby, Majerus (all six days or so) and Floyd. And Garrett didn't go down swinging, he was caught looking. Add the fact that Sample is not a happy camper at this moment, is Garrett the next one to follow?
But UCLA has always been clean. I need free meals. Where is Jim Harrick when I need him!!
No, actually, I pitty you more than anything. I dont hate anyone, especially my wife of 12 years who is a 92' U$C Grad. Thankfully, she rid herself of the pretentiousness. Anyone who listens to sports radio recalls exactly what I said above. Timmy needed a player to compete with the K.Love signing and he was willing to sell himself out to do so.
wait, this is all because OJ got a flat screen TV and some clothes?
and Reggie Bush took hundreds of thousands in loot from an agent, including a tricked out car and a house for his peeps???
oh, we're screwed.
Jim-mey Harrick (how you doing stud), Slick Ricky Neu-weasal, Johnny "I'm clean as Ricky P" Calipari and Little Timmy "Fauntleroy" Floyd, you are the next contestants on "slime your way through college athletic programs". Fight On!
If I were Sample, I'd be pissed too. And don't even get me started on Lou Galen.
I am assuming that the UCLA fans posting these comments are too young to remember Sam Gilbert and his payment of money to UCLA players during the Wooden years. If so, go back and read the articles about Sam Gilbert in the LA Times. Or maybe you do remember and you are just hypocrites. No big-time sports schools are immune to activity that violates NCAA rules -- either now or in the past. College sports is dirty, especially college basketball. If you say otherwise, you must be really naive or really stupid.
I've always thought UCLA fans and alumni had absolutely no class.
They've proved me right again today.
If I were Sample, I'd be pissed too. And don't even get me started on Lou Galen.
Tim Floyd just needs to lay low a few years, tell everyone how sorry he is, and then BAM! He's back in college basketball, hired by a declining state college (who else would take him?), going after the top program and making outlandish claims about bringing his school back to prominence even though his team completely sucks. You know, this kind of sounds like someone I know...but I won't name names. Let's just say he wants little boys on his sideline and his name rhymes with Dick ShoeMeisel.
TB- And she lost her virginity 14 years ago AT SC. You are one luck guy.
That is no way to talk about your Daddy! Mr. Gilbert was a man of high character who showed kids a way out of the ghetto. He could not, with a clear conscious steer those young, impressionable kids right back to the ghetto in south central.
Just listen to how Wooden's players speak of him to this day. I am fairly sure the other O.J wont be going on a speaking tour to express the incredible impact
Timmy had on him......... He was able to get some sweet rims for his ride with the $1000 Timmy gave him though.
Sure they speak kindly of Gilbert and Wooden. With all the money they got from the slim ball, of course they love him. And St. John, what a gentleman. He is now, but then, he was an ahole. Ask the refs. Don't be so smug about the Juice, when he gets out he may just admit he was the guy 14 years ago.
All this gloating by Bruins fans and Trojan haters doesn't dismiss the fact that there are serious misdeeds that were done by our basketball program. This IS an embarrassment to the University and a a Trojan supporter, I don't want to win that way.
We don't need to cheat to be successful. We are better than that and we deserve coaches that integrity and we deserve an Athletic Director that understands winning without integrity is unacceptable. If you love USC, you can't let these guys destroy the school's reputation because USC is bigger than one coach or A.D.
As much as I like to throw down those Sam Gilbert cracks at my Bruins friends, that was 30 years ago. This stuff happened to us last year and I don't even want to talk about Reggie Bush and his crooked family.
I'd rather lose with honor and have to cheat to win. And skirting the grey area is too close to cheating. We don't need to do this crap.
Agreed Nemesis:
Which means Garrett needs to follow Floyd out the door;
Which means that a lot a fat-booster-type feathers are going to be ruffled . . .
Which means it ain't gonna be easy . . .
But if Sample is really serious about changing the culture of the University (and he has been successful just about everywhere except with the athletic department), this might be the opportunity to do so . . .
You are CORRECT I took her virginity right there in her dorm room in Birnkrant
Desmo - you are so correct.
Garrett has basically made one great hire - Pete Carroll
Hiring Kreuter and Floyd were disasters waiting to surface and they read so at that time.
Sample needs huevos, yet ultimately must fire Garrett, and the sooner the better. And that has been the case for the past 4-5 years.
So far TruBruin has put down Floyd while praising Sam Gilbert.
Next thing you know he'll be talking about character and then brag about bending his wife over in a dorm room... wait.
TR- Wrong about MG. Look at the rest of the coaches, all whom have been hired by MG. WP, VB, G, T&F, T and more. Didn't even go into the Women's coaches. Cut him some slack. MG deserves some crap on this one, but overall he's on the plus side.
Tru-Bad news for you. I had her several times at a tailgate party 15 years ago. She ain't that good.
GTG-about the alphabet soup - the last time I was fed this many letters with no explanation, Campbells was the purveyor.
Who are these people: WP, VB, G, T&F, T, and especially More?!
White People, Very Bad, Good, True & False, True, etc.
I hope you sleep well at night knowing that your basketball victories the past couple seasons were the result of cheating and scandal.
but hey "we are $C" a victory is a victory right
In the end, honestly, all I care about is winning at all costs. It doesn't really matter how dirty our program is, as long as we don't get caught. And our football program will never be caught. I think that it's unfortunate Tim Floyd was, because I thought he was smarter than that. I mean the kids are talented, why not pay them and their handlers? As they said in the SEC where I grew up, if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin' hard enough.
Plus I think this means we get Jimmie Dickson. Finally. There's a man who doesn't get caught.
GOTROYGO....lol thats probably true we all know making grades arent the only thing that come EASY at troy!LMAO
TrojanForLife...i respect your honest!CHEAT ON CHEAT ON!
CANT SPELL SCUM WITHOUT $C
Sorry TR, thought you knew more about SC sports.
Water Polo- Yovan (NC)
Tennis-Smith (NC)
VB-Ferguson (Coach of the Year-NCAA)
Track & Field-Allice (West. Reg-NCAA, NCAA FInals this week)
Golf-Zambri
Swim/Dive-Salo
All had great seasons and were great choices by MG. YES, Chad is a BUST.
Many more (i.e. Women's coaches)
Overall, I'd give MG A-/B+ (Won Gauntlet over the bRuins and #3 in Directors Cup) Still higher than the great pumpkin at Fucla.
BB- You also can't spell F**k All Aholes without ucla.
GTG - thanks for that info.
Doubt if many on this blog could name those coaches though.
I knew we won NCs in water polo and tennis, yet did not know the names of the coaches.
Winning the Gauntlet over the 'ruins is no big deal this year, as their hole program seems headed south. Rumor has it that Lexus wants out, and thus the gauntlet might even be on the chopping block.
TR- No problem. Agree on Gauntlet-who give a crap about beating a second rate program like Fucla? The Director's Cup is another matter. You get points for finishing in a certain position nationally for each sport. We have, I think, 17. Stanford has 22, so they have five more teams that can score. Without Girly Ball, we're screwed! LOL But seriously, you do have to give MG credit where credit is due and "fry" him where it's deserved, i.e. Tim Floyd and Chad Krueter. And, BTW, MG is a big enough man to take it AND admit it.
