According to the Houston Chronicle, USC senior associate athletic director Brandon Martin was one of two finalists for the University of Houston's athletic director's job. Akron's Mack Rhoades was hired today.
The Chronicle story quotes a search committee member as saying Martin is a ``a superstar.'' It seems only a matter of time before Martin, who is also a faculty member at USC, becomes an athletic director at another university.

Happy to hear that Brandon has done so well! He was a great player and a great ambassador for USC. Maybe he can replace Garrett...now.
