About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Loser
Loser?-- That is cold and also untrue.
I will remember Hackett standing tall in the Pac-10 Tournament Championship game and putting down the clutch free throws to win it all.
He also put in 3 hard-working years at SC, was probably not going to improve his game much more, and was ready to make some money. He will probably make $1 million over a 5-year period in Italy, his loving native country, and that is not so bad for a guy who did not have NBA talent but still wanted to make some money playing basketball.
He, along with Taj, I will always remember as great Trojans.
Well said LJ. Hackett remains my favorite Trojan basketball player. He wasn't big-name DeMar or OJ, but was the only player that constantly fought and played with great competitive spirit each and every minute of a game. He was seriously the most fun to watch.
Fight on 13
Very elegantly stated LJ, we will never forget Daniel's clutch performance in the Pac-10 tournament. Outgunned and outmanned at halftime, our men fought back like proverbial Trojans to gain a most improbable victory. That shimmering moment was one of the greatest in USC sports history.
Hackett almost did it again in the NCAA tournament, but the opportunity was taken away by a no-call at the end of the Michigan State game. Daniel is still young and may improve his game enough to get a look from an NBA team that needs an energy guy off the bench. I don't think we've heard the last from him.
And GTG, you just elevated your own game to a new level, you are now the biggest douche of the Wolf-blog. Congratulations, very impressive.
Gracias cabeza de Dick
Keep it classy... loser.
Hackett almost got us to the Final Four. He should never be attacked.
No me sermonee usted vida baja
Look, GOOtroyGOO is illiterate in TWO languages, right tu pinchy pendejo?
Look who's back. Now I'm only the 2nd biggest dbag.
Danny came to USC to help out and learn to play PG, he is more of a run and shoot SG and after 2yrs in euro will play in NBA>
I miss El Capitán
sad this is.
trashing thier guttiest player, some Trojie "fans" are.
NBA talent he may not have, but NBA guts he does.
surprised to see him in the NBA later Yoda will not be.
class, these Trogies do not have.
yoyo, it is only ONE who lacks class, GoTroyGo, Oh wait I forgot there is you, that makes two...
GnoA$$ You guys are a bunch of jock sniffers. Hackett had NO reason for leaving early. Playing in Euro is 2nd to the Pac 10. I know, he's making money. You probably never went to college and money is all you think about with your hourly wage. He needs to get a degree so he doesn't sound like a goober, like you.
Yoda- Can I borrow your Frog Suit for Halloween?
A punk? hahahaha Say hi to the "fryer" on your shift. And don't forget the extra secret sauce next time with my order. I'll get you some "jocks" from the athletic trainer for your collection. Hackett, like some others, "used" SC for his BB career. He's not that good and it will be proven over time. Another so-so player that probably knew he wouldn't graduate. Sniff On.
GoFagGo, another so-so human being, I graduated from USC, class of 1974, you can sniff my jock, you puke!
Class of '74. Wow. Can I come over and smell JK's jock? Or did you get AD's? Maybe Handen's? Or were you in a puke frat house? Bet you were a Delt.
turning on each other now, Trojies are, hmmm?
so good to not be Trojie, i sense.
meditate on this i will.
Wow i finally agree with trojans.GOTROYGO is a pendejo! I have grown so freaken tired of hearing his crap on Dohns blog but now see it is not that he is a trojan he is just genuinly a freaken idiot!Hackett has heart and SC would be so lucky to recruit another like him! I call him hollywood Hackett because even when he didnt have a play he would fake his way to a foul call.Good player big heart!
Nothing new from BB. Another jock sniffer. Who's in your collection? Love? Slick Rick's? Sniff. Sniff. I'lll bet you even have Yoda's. Good player, big heart. Wow. A real evaluator of talent. "Love. Tall player. White." Nice. BTW I don't even go on Dohns blog. Dbag.
Hackett was a real competitor on the floor and a personable student to converse with outside the arena. He was a huge help to leave highschool one year early to play guard for the Trojans. Still there was no hurry to jump ship to play overseas even before Floyd resigned. Dwight Lewis could have done the same thing playing somewhere in another country especially after everyone bailed out of the program. You win a national title and are a high draft choice so then there is nothing left to accomplish in college basketball, but not predicted to go in the draft why not come back for your senior year to help gain some national recognition and graduate.
T5-Well said.
