Morning Buzz
Did Tim Floyd's decision to interview with Arizona lead to his demise? Guard Solomon Hill used the interview as his excuse to switch from USC to Arizona. Guard Noel Johnson was quoted saying it was the first thing that caused him to seek his release. That departure helped hasten the departure of recruits Lamont Jones and Derrick Williams (both to Arizona apparently).
If reports Williams will go to Arizona are true, the Wildcats will end up with three of USC's recruits (Hill, Jones, Willams). Who could predict this three months ago?

I agree, if he wanted to use AZ as a negotiating ploy he should have gone a week before the basketball awards dinner. This was the second worst mistake he made.
Floyd's gone. Outta here. Quit.
What happened is now in the past. Let's move on.
In retrospect, actually visiting an in-conference rival the day after the awards ceremony was much more difficult to swallow than PC's annual dalliances with the NFL. Might AD Garrett actually be to blame for not ramping up Floyd's salary more quickly based on success, or encouraging him to leave if not satisfied? AD Garrett's lack of management skills are also to blame.
The only thing I know of Garrett, other than being an exceptional and shifty running back, was how he was directly behind me at a basketball game, and he violently put me down when I stood up to cheer an SC basket. Almost tore up my spine. If it had happened on the street, the thug would have been arrested.
Oh, yeah, and did I mention his humorous, warm and fuzzy personality? If this guy had to interview for a real job he would wind up in a bread-line.
Lawyer John, your last two sentences were pure gold. Thought Garrett sits on the court at one end and to the side of the basket at Galen Ctr. for USC basketball. Did your experience happen at a different venue?
Total BS. You're to cheap to sit where MG sits. Why don't you guys interview for the AD job if you're so smart. That mail order law degree won't get you far. Bet none of you are higher than C&G.
Trojsteve5:
It was about 10-years ago at the Sports Arena. Garrett was not sitting courtside in those days, or at least he wasn't at the game I attended. I usually buy scalper tickets so I am sitting in different seats for each game.
Are you a donor? Or just a complaining ahole?
