USC sprinter Ahmad Rashad finished second in the 100 meters at the NCAA championships tonight. Dalilah Muhammad finished third in the 400-meter hurdles. The women's team is currently tied for second place while the men are sixth.

No way whatsoever. Please give Coach Allice a break in this regards. The savings of a scholarship given to a football player who could really help the track team has run its course. You would not see him on the running track once the football staff beats up his body. Carroll talks a good game about two sport athletes, but the tunnel has dried up the last few years. Only Trey Henderson who gave up football throws the hammer now. Travon Patterson ran one year on the sprint relay team not anymore. Reggie Bush got lost on his way to Loker Stadium each spring. Blake Ayles a top discus thrower was hurt from football. Three State titles in track & field by junior football verbal commits (Darr/Morgan) will probably be wasted once they get involved with the sport paying their way through college.
