What do you make of Lane Kiffin having a 13 year old commit to Tennessee and offering a scholar to his his twin brother? Article: http://www.3sib.com/2009/06/28/e-berry-makes-verbal-commitment-to-tennessee/
A: Anything for publicity. Kiffin thinks he needs to make a splash any way he can. Will Kiffin even be the coach at Tennessee when this kid graduates high school? Kiffin would like to be Pete Carroll, but he doesn't have his charisma.

Do you think URBAN MEYER will take a pro coaching job in the next couple years, or is he one of those JOE PA types? [I've been reading ANSWER MONDAY, and he is one guy I'd like to see out of our hair.] Thanx, Scott, for all that you do.
A: I'm a little torn on this. I think Meyer is bright enough to coach at any level. But I don't think he would succeed in the NFL, which is more of an indictment of the league than him. I think he's perfectly suited at Florida, where he can run his spread offense.
But I've seen guys like Dennis Erickson get bitten by the NFL bug and make a bad decision to leave their college job and struggle in the NFL until they get fired. I hope Meyer remains at Florida because it's good for college football.

Didn't Tim Floyd get a freshman in high school to commit?
