Any word on Barkley and Corp's performance w/ the team in their passing sessions? Which QB do you think the receivers favor?

Mr. Wolf, what is the most unique reason a recruit committed to USC? I was thinking of a story years ago about Tavian Banks committing to Iowa b/c Hayden Frey hugged him during a recruiting visit. I was curious if any like this ever happened at USC. Thanks.

What is Rick Neweasell angle on getting 3 star players, because if he keeps it up they will be 3 STAR TECT.

You recently posted a poll as to who was "USC's best all-time player." (As I am writing this, Allen and Simpson are in a virtual dead heat.)

So, let me throw the question back to you: Who do you think was USC's best all-time player, and why? Thanks for the forum, Scott.

Hello Mr. Wolf. I hope you are well. Thank you for your continued effort of providing your readers with solid, informative and objective opinions. I understand you are extremely busy with providing us the latest information on the Girls Alouds, but I was just wondering, are there any plans for Jill and Ramona to be regular contributors to this blog site?

I thank you in advance for your time and answer to this question.

Now that Landon Donovan's true feelings for the David Beckham situation have become public knowledge, how do you think the situation will play out... will it force the Galaxy to choose between the two players.. give one of the two (or both) a reason to leave MLS and save face... would Beckham ever play for another MLS team (New York maybe) etc?

SW, thanks in advance. What are your thoughts on the following recruits and USC'S chances of signing them Kenny Stills, Robert Woods, and Dietrich Riley. I would ask you about more recruits right now, but these three will do. Thank you

Why doesn't an MLS team play in the Coliseum? (I understand that the LA Galaxy and Home Depot Center are both AEG-owned, but what about Chivas USA playing in the city of LA?)

HI SCOTT:
Of course, the downside risk to not offering a top recruit early is that the kid may decide to go elsewhere on the theory that, well, they offered me first. To get around this, and also to avoid other schools taking shots at SC for a year, the solution would seem to be to offer the kid, and, if he accepts, just somewhat forcefully tell the kid he needs to remain silent, and explain to him why. Under this scenario, we could easily have 6-8 silent commits now, instead of only two that you said we had. While I see the danger in offering too early[like we did last year], there is also a real danger in offering too late, as I pointed out above. Why doesn't PC think the way I do--what am I missing here? Sincere thanks.

Scott, last week you said that there are times when you would call PC like 3 times over a one or two day period when something is happening. Could you give us some examples [either real or imaginary] that might warrant those calls, and I would assume that that seldom happens, right? Thanx for having the forums.

Roberta O'Neill is a former singer who married into Irish heritage. If GA needed to add an additional member, would she be a top 4 candidate?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
