Any insight into the QB depth chart for 2009? It's Corp to start but will number 2 be Mustain with Barkley to redshirt or won't they care about redshirting Barkley and put him number 2? Thanks

Scott, are you going to Chelsea v Inter Milan at the Rose Bowl?

How much trust do you think that PC has with Aaron Corp right now (outside of naming him as the starter)? Do you think that PC has soften his feelings over Mark Sanchez declaring early? Fight On!

Indirectly an SC question: how many years does Chow have to produce a successful QB before he trashes his 'QB genius' reputation?

see we must, the apology letters of Everson Griffin and Jordan Alexander Moore.

post them, USC will?

I'd say that for SC to get back to the BCS title game they need a running back to have a breakout season. Can this happen with the shared load, and if so who do you think is the most likely player to get it done?

Mr. Wolf, thank you for the blog and for the great insight. A few weeks ago I inquired about Coach Seto's chances of getting a decent Div 1 head coaching position after a few successful years as a DC and your response was that he would probably get a position similar to Coach Walker in NM. My question, is do you think Coach Seto's candidacy for a head coaching position would be more scrutinized b/c of his ethnic background (at the moment I think their is only one Asian Head Coach) and b/c the two previous PC assistants (Kiff and Sark) received very good head coaching positions? Thank you in advance.

Wolfie- With Williams and Johnson starting, this is the first time since 2002 that there is not a big, physical starter at WR. How much of a difference will this make in regards to the offensive play-calling and WR routes? Will Ausberry see more playing time to fill the void?

You were on the cutting edge of blogs and now it takes so damn long to load all of these lap band and teeth whitening ads

USC football players were arrested in Nantucket. Nantucket? Really? Are they hoping to turn Martha's Vineyard into their location for next year's 4th of July party?

Ryan Author Profile Page said:

Scott,

From time to time you list the potential starting lineup for the men's basketball team. In my opinion it is a decent starting 5. That, in combination of what will be a down year for the PAC-10. Am I wrong to be cautiously optimistic about the upcoming season? Do the wheels really fall off the Kevin O'Neil era in year 2?

"Jordan Alexander Moore" was the name allegedly provided by Jordan Campbell, according to the Nantucket Inquirer & Mirror, although it was unclear if he gave police false identification. http://www.ack.net/uscplayers070909.html

Scott, do you know whether Jordan Campbell's legal name is Jordan Alexander Moore? If not, do you know why this name was allegedly given to the police? Perhaps you could to a little detective work to come up with an answer for the different names.

As always, thanks for the forum, Scott.

Will there be any possible decommitments from the current football players commited, any player you think that may decommit? Also, Malik Jackson's twin brother Marquis Jackson just commited to UCLA, why didn't he commit to USC when offered by them?

HI SCOTT:
A couple years ago, the bruins got 4-5 really good players that SC wanted by offering early. As a result, I think that that was a major reason why PC was in an early offering mode last year, and we got burned some.
My question is, do you think the bruins got those guys by offering early, or was it more because Eric Scott had established a strong relationship with those guys, such that they would have become bruins anyway? Hopefully related, if they became bruins because of Eric, do you think PC erred last year by offering early?

HI WOLFIE
At the Rising Stars camp at SC, I presume a recruit has to pay all his expenses[?], and, also, why would a guy from out of state even bother to come if he already has an offer from the school of his choice, or is the type player who could already go anywhere he wants to?
Hope that can be considered all one question--if not, my excuse is that I've got the swine flu from watching too many Girls Are Too Loud videos, too many Old Spice Girls videos, and nauseated from hearing, ad nauseum, how Landon is going to punch out Georgie Boy, the moment he steps on the pitch for the Galaxy.
Seriously, tho, I would like to see those Irish lasses [my heritage] serve as cheerleaders for Notre Dame this season--then the lads might go unbeaten--with the proper inspiration and MOTIVATION!!
Thanx in advance as always from myself, and all of us here at St. Pauls.

If a group of USC football players spend next Fourth of July weekend in Newcastle, how do you think that will turn out?

Sam Gilbert Author Profile Page said:

People seem to assume Landon Donovan is the best American soccer player in the world but others have broken into the more respected leagues overseas while he has not (successfully).
Why do you think he's become the poster-boy and who do you think are actually the top American players in the world?

Many top local prospects are choosing to take official visits to other schools and only take unoffical visits to USC and UCLA. Do you think by only taking unofficial visits to USC that this will hurt USC in recruiting some of these prospects since they will not be able to spend more time as they would have?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
