About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Does it seem odd to you that Ahmed Mokhtar is walking on at USC? He left Oregon State because of the people in front of him. With all the RBs on scholarship, and walk-ons being limited why is Caesar even allowing this happen?
How many scholarship does USC have available for the recruiting class and how many players will they sign? Thank you.
Jesse Scroggins- Star in the making, or Rocky Hinds in the making?
Does Ryan Wetherill have any playing time left? He was supposedly to be given a scholarship by Floyd until Floyd used it to give to Lil Romeo Miller.
Does USC have a chance to get some out of state stars as they have in the past with Mike Williams, Brian Cushing and LenDale White?
When David Beckham and Posh Spice arrived in Los Angeles in 2007, they were greeted with almost unheard of numbers of media, photographers, and all kinds of celebrities from A-listers to D-listers attending Beckham's LA Galaxy games at the Home Depot Center.
Now in 2009, the photographers are mostly gone, Beckham is being booed at home games and told to leave, the celebrities are pretty much gone, and attendance is dire.
Is this not the most ironic twist of fate in modern sports and celebrity?
it seems as if the Trojans and Briuns will be battling head to head for most of the top uncommitted recruits in the state. Who dod you think wins out in the derby for Hayes Pullard, Anthony Barr, Robert Woods, Kenny Stills, Christian Thomas, George Uko, Ronald Powell, Josh Shirley, V.J. Fehoko, Sean Parker, Dietrich Reilly, and Demetrius Wright?
Scott, you seem to like Kevin O'Neill more than you like a lot of other USC athletic personnel. And from what I've observed, you seem to be a lot like him. How would you compare yourself to him and his personality, and how would you rate your compatibility to Kevin's on a scale of 1-10?
Will USC get some five star recruits for the football recruiting class ?
Scott,
Which Pac 10 coach, current or former hates Pete Carroll the most? Mike Bellotti? Carroll once screamed obscenities at him during a came after an instant replay of an instant replay. Or is it Jim Harbaugh after the brouhaha during last year’s game when he ran up the score and called a timeout with less than 10 seconds to play. Or is someone else, Slick Rick, Erickson?
Thanks
Will USC defense be able to create turnovers this year as it used to do when the team was winning National Championships? Also, what position will freshman James Boyd play?
How well do Aaron Corp and Matt Barkley throw on the run, including both while scrambling and rolling out of the pocket on a designed play?
In the recent team recruiting ranks, http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=969044
USC is rank 12 in the recruiting rankings, behind Stanford and ahead of California. Washington is also in the top teams. USC recruitng not doing as well as it did in years past. Even you did not list 5 five euro players in your recruit rankings. Why are there no big name guys? Also, can you list some predictions for future commits as you did last year when you listed some. Sorry about making this a two part question. Thank you.
In a recent SEC Preview special Sports Illustrated issue not mailed to subscribers, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Houston Nutt, and Lane Kiffin each got a cover. Here is Lane Kiffin's cover: http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/cover/toc/11274/index.htm
What are your thoughts on Lane Kiffin before coaching a game getting a cover before Pete Carroll? One cover before Carroll already. If you can ask Pete Carroll on his thoughts on never getting on the cover when four SEC coaches do?
Now that Mark Sanchez has left USC, are you able to say whether you knew about the vast differences about what he was really like and the misunderstood and wholesome persona he tried to put out there for the media?
I remember living in Cardinal Gardens and constantly having to put up with the antics of Sanchez and Brian Cushing and no one in the complex appeared particularly surprised when Sanchez got arrested. It seemed strange to those of us who came across him that his media persona was so different from the reality of what he was really like so did you ever buy into the wholesome routine he put on? Did you know what students at USC, especially those in Cardinal Gardens and later on in Ellendale, really thought of him and any of his antics that never made it into the media?
