ESPN rated every program from 1936 to present day and USC came out No. 2. But would the Trojans be No. 1 if you included the national title pre-1936?

What do you think Scott. The local paper here in Austin published an article by Kirk Bohls, the person who casts their vote in the AP poll, in which it was debated which conference would be best this year. I guess I should have said "better" because only two were discussed, the Big 12 and the SEC.

Seems the SEC has better defenses and faster players but the Big 12 has more good QBs. The other conferences were written off as being inferior.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
