Two-Man Rotation

For all the talk of tailback-by-committee, right now it looks like Joe McKnight and Stafon Johnson will get the lion's share of the carries unless the game turns into a blowout. Where C.J. Gable, Marc Tyler and Allen Bradford fit in is anyone's guess.

I'd love to see what Stafon could do if he got the ball 20 times a game.

I thought Allen Bradford was going to be the short yardage guy but Stafon did have those two short yardage TDs last Saturday.

THANK YOU, FINALLY!!!

Personally, I am a fan of Gable, and would like to see him get a bunch of carries. Last year there were a few drives (emphasis on the word "few") where Gable got a bunch of carries in a row .... and the team rolled down the field. I think if Gable got 20 carries a game he would be a star.

In a pretty recent article, PC said Bradford will be in the mix this season.

It would be better if Stafon and Gable were the backs with McFumble coming in here and there, but McFumble is Pete's pet, so that ain't happening.

it scares me to think of how many games fumbles mcbutterhands will cost us this year. for some reason he is petes pet, and gets the ball way to much. bad thing is i think it will be even worse this year since we all know he needs big numbers to set himself up for the draft.

CJ Gable > Stafon

It's scary every time McKnight touches the ball, but he can really be a game changer and I would be upset if he wasn't substantially involved in the offense. If I could only have one of them, I'd take Stafon. I like the idea of using Bradford to soften up the D, but he just never seems to be very impressive. CJ is fine, but he's not as dependable as Stafon and not as dynamic as McKnight. So I guess I agree with BigContinuous.

Sure, he fumbles a lot, but there's no one as exciting as McKnight. He is always the most dangerous player on the field (for us and against us) when he's out there and I for one enjoy seeing his crazy cutback runs.

It's always funny to me how there can be a big group of defenders seemingly within arms' reach of McKnight and yet none of them are able to tackle him.

Pound it with Stafon, and swing it around to McKnight. I guarantee it will work. Too bad we can implement a little of the wishbone.

no matter how exciting it is to see him running around out of control, he is to much of a wild card on the field. if he had done what he was suppose to do last year in the oregon st game and given the ball to the fullback we win that game. but no he decides to be a ball hog keep it run around, fumble it and the momentum is gone, they score before the half and we lose the game. the guy is over rated and every time he is on the field he gets the ball and everyone knows it.

You're right lefty101, but he's Pete's pet so it doesn't matter.

Joe McFumble will cut down on fumbles because of Barkley's interceptions!
