All of the above and the wrong personnel playing. Mitch Mustain, C.J. Gable, Curtis McNeal, and Brandon Carswell each should have played to help the team. This season could be not good, at least three or four losses since we have no passing game and the injuries are piling on.
Champion, your logic is true. to the rest of you Trojies who are so down, bitter and angry, ChuckBuck here to help you find the silver lining in what seems like yet another catastrophic choke job…
Lets look that the most recent choke jobs together shall we?
Stanford: (40 pt dogs)
Or St: (30 pt dogs)
WA: (20 pt dogs)
So as you see, Southern Cal’s choke jobs are coming against teams with smaller spreads every year. That, my friends, is called progress. So stop crying about another lost Natl Title even though as usual Southern Cal has by far the most talent in College Football…there is some improvement here to embrace. C’mon, group hug!!
Regards, ChuckBuck

I made this post in the past: Move Competition Tuesday to Saturday. I'm convinced the players believe the battle is won on Tuesday when they secure their playing time and they don't compete at the same level on gameday. I'm guessing that Bowl Game preperation differs from that in the regular season. If so, it may explain the results.
You may be on to something S12. Comp Day and Turnover Day don't seem to lead us to peak performance on Sat.
Scott, I didn't see "backup QB" as a choice. Mark me down for Aaron Corp.
I'm sorry but if you didn't say injuries you have no idea what you are talking about. USC is missing their best QB, WR and defensive player. I dont care how deep you think your team is you don't just plug guys in to replace the best guys you have. Look at the Steelers this weekend. They lost one player and couldn't defend the middle of the field at all.
