Everyone forgets one thing. Taylor Mays plays and USC wins. Locklear needed every big play he made. Mays would have taken away many.
What is weird, was the play calling. Who the he'll is calling the plays? Did Bates take into consideration that Corp can run? Why no roll outs? Jesus!

herh herh herh.
Seemed the play calling was very lacking and Corp was VERY unprepared, and frankly seemed lost at points. This game was lost by USC more than won by Washington, too bad. Nevertheless, how does bad playcalling or the absence of Taylor Mays result in the atrocious fumbles and turnovers inside the 20 which would have resulted in probably at least 2 more TD's or other scores? Gave it away we did.
Good point, Brettm.
I thought a big part of Corp's assets were taken away by the coaching staff. Why does Barkley get to roll, but not Corp?
Another great game by Galippo. Our defense is great (except when the scheme leaves the middle wide open.) The individual players are definitely exceptional.
OK people go back and watch the Ohio State game. The offense has been vanilla for both of them. Barkley maybe had one or two roll outs last week.
Augustine and Bertram:
After the game, PC was asked this question, though not as directly, and he alluded to the fact that early on Corp was not reading the defenses correctly.
In fact, ABC reported that in the 2nd quarter, Bates sat down with Corp and they went over the entire game plan, where Corp told Bates what he was comfortable with and what he wasn't.
After the game Pete admitted that they talked about replacing Corp with Barkley in the fourth quarter, but that they hoped that Corp could take what he "learned" and moved the team. Then Pete, very uncharacteristically, said "But he couldn't get it done."
Pete never singles out QB's. After every JDB loss, and the OSU game last year, Pete never, ever said "John David/Mark couldn't get it done." But he did today, which means he has no confidence in Corp, and that the Aaron Corp era in officially and forever over.
Deer Enterprise Renty-car,

I know galippo is still young...but for those of us
veteran fans "weird things happen..move on" doesn't cut it.
Pete carroll should be ashamed of the team he put on the field today...they were totally un prepared and didn't bother to try the whole game..corp sucks ass move him to WR or RB or just off the team altogether..
anyway, USC is now the laughing stock of college football...hope pete is proud of himself
Anyone else notice that in recent years, including this current one apparently, SC has struggled to even up the turnover margin? In 2003 and 2004, SC were simply ballhawks providing so many extra opportunities for the offense. Recently, not so much. Obviously the players are better-more athletic, faster, stronger, but are they really smarter? Taylor Mays might be a freak of an athlete but he doesn't stike me as having a sense of reading offenses to put himself in a position to intercept passes.
Galippo is a very awesome player; notice he only plays 2 downs -they take him on 3rd downs
