Quarterback is not the only uncertain position. There is a punting competition going on. Mitch Mustain tried punting after practice and could be in the mix but not this week. Pete Carroll said Billy O'Malley remains in the lead.

how can you not love Mitch Mustain doing anything he can to help the team...i think he would join the kickoff team if they let him. ChuckBuck is actually getting misty right now...

Scott,
Stop the madness... Please! Earlier this week I wrote about the punting situation.... If Uncle Pete had a better punter, he would have been the starter from week 1.
I think it’s great that Mitch Mustain is such an athlete, that he can wear various hats. Maybe, if called upon this year he can show-case his talents. But asking Mustain, or anyone else on the football team to replace O'Malley, is not a smart comment and undermines Uncle Pete's coaching staff.
Trust me the Special-Teams Coach has his hands full coaching O'Malley up!

I am kidding, however although I enjoy your blog... some of your posts allow every underemployed house dad from Van Nuys to Westwood, kick their dog, punch their wife, and jump on the smear Sc blog-bandwagon.
