Mr. Wolf, I've read your post about the lack of interest in UCLA (can't blame anyone) and out of curiousity, do you think that UCLA is regretting Neuheisel's hiring considering that he has one of the best offensive minds and yet they seem to be stuck on neutral or worse going backwards? With the exception of his UW Rose Bowl team, Neuheisel's teams either played average or a little bit above average but for the most part his teams never beat the top teams in the Big 8/Big 12 or this conference. Thanks.

A: I think the past week's been revealing. There's been tension between Rick Neuheisel and Norm Chow and it finally went public. On top of that, there was Randall Carroll's twitter post criticizing Chow.
I'm not sure UCLA regrets hiring Neuheisel yet (it's still early) but some things are starting to unravel and I will always cite the departure of DeWayne Walker as a major turning point because he held a lot of things together within that program. The problem I noticed with Neuheisel at Colorado and Washington was that his teams won right after he became the coach then became gradually worse. Maybe UCLA can look forward to the fact this is not happening now, so he might reverse his trend.
