When was the last time in the AP you ranked USC higher than the poll had them? How about when you even ranked them the same as the poll?
A: I have ranked USC No. 1 many times, including in 2003 when they relied on my vote and other writers to claim a share of the national championship.

Have the coaches talked about the progress of the Anthony McCoy this seaon, and any indication what has made his game grown show much?
A: He has lost some weight and is faster than ever before. And I think it's also true that there is not the depth at the position that would allow the coaches to substitute more, which gives him more opportunities. Plus, with some of the problems at wide receiver, it's forced the coaches to throw more the tight end.

Mr. Wolf, I have a 'what-if' scenario, let's assume that the current top 8 BCS ranked teams are the same at the end of the season and that the winner of the SEC championship b/w UF and Alabama receives a spot in the title game, in your opinion who should get the second spot in the title game; and if Iowa gets left out of the title game and they are matched against a one loss USC team in the Rose Bowl, can Iowa claim the AP title assuming they beat USC? I am curious to see your analysis for this 'what-if' inquiry. Thanks.
A: Iowa (and any other undefeated team) will make a claim to the AP title, like Utah last year. I think Cincinnati is better than Iowa. But If everyone keeps winning, I think Texas will get the second spot. But I think there are going to be losses in the second half and it doesn't matter what Boise State does because USC will pass them in the computer rankings by the end of the season.

So it's been years?
Scott, you avoided the question. When -- in the last six years -- have you ranked USC above (or the same) what the rest of all AP voters ranked them?
Wolfie incorrect about McCoy. Depth is not great, but the coaches have faith in Ellison and Ayles is now healthy. There are no problems at WR. When the gameplan is to not throw the ball and when you do, throw it about 3-5 yards past the line of scrimmage, it is not the fault of the WR's.
McCoy only had 9 catches going into the ND game. PC alluded to the fact before the game that they felt they could exploit ND's secondary by going more to McCoy.
And that's a fact, Jack.
You go Mo
Ayles is a beast on the field and has great hands. As long as he stays healthy - throw him the damn ball!
