At half-time of the Bama game, Rece, Mark and Grandpa were discussing the unimpressive play of UF, UT, Bama, and USC and questioning who deserved to be #1. Quote from Grandpa Lou: "Whoever is ranked #1, it doesn't mean they are #1." WTF??? Does he know that the nation is laughing at him, not with him? What is ESPN's responsibility for putting this nutty old kook on the air?

HAHAHA. I'm a UCLA fan that hates USC and that is the craziest statement ever. USC outplayed Notre Dame and the game should not have been as close as it was. If Notre Dame was better, they would have won this game.....a game they had at home. A game where they won the turnover battle. On a neutral field, SC beats Notre Dame 4 of out 5 times. Lou Holtz should have been neutered so he didn't pass on his crazy leprechaun jenes to anyone else.

I'm not a Trojan but when I see Lou Holtz, Peter Gammons, or Skip Bayless on TV, it's time to change the channel.

Are Holtz and Gammons grandfathered in like Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno? When you need a good laugh, turn to ESPN's First and Ten. Bayless is so delusional on his arguments that it's actually comical.

Wolf's AP picks are almost as bad as Lou's comment. When was the last time Scott ranked USC higher (or even the same) as the poll? Tomorrow should be interesting with Virgina Tech, Nebraska, and Kansas losing. Who will Scott have leap frog SC and rank higher?

It looks like Lou Holtz has finally gone senile after watching Notre Dame lose so many consecutive games to SC. LMAO!!! Yeah, that motto "A Decade Of Dominance" is a distant memory now indeed. As a matter of fact, that should become a motto for SC in the next couple of years.

What's Granny's role? Pump up the ESPN ratings. Sounds to me like he is achievin that goal beyond his wildest dream. I think he is funny and when he is not talking about ND or USC he generally knows what he is talking about.

Complaining about Holtz is about as fruitful as complaining about Scott's AP ballot.

After the game, on College Football Final, Holtz did say that if SC finished with one loss they should be in the national championship game.

The only smart thing I have ever heard him say.

Holtz is like John Wooden. They are both legendary and had great runs long ago in their day, but it is absolutely painful to try to understand a thing he is saying now. With Wooden, I feel guilty thinking that until he gets about 3 words out, then I feel sorry for him. Holtz just makes me throw up in my mouth.
