weren't you just stroking Holt a couple of weeks ago for his defensive prowess?

Some are great assistant coaches, but not head coach material. Holt fits that.

Wolf searches the world-wide internet to find something negative about USC. How pathetic!

I don't find Holt to be that great of a coach - defensive coordinator, head coach, or otherwise.
I really don't think we've lost anything (performance-wise) on the defensive side of the ball despite losing studs on the front 7 and suffering a couple of catastrophic injuries.
I love Pete as a defensive coach, I just wish he was as aggressive on the offensive side of the ball as he can be on the defensive side.

There is nothing negative regarding SC in the statement, merely a statement of fact concerning Nick Holt, who spurned SC for Washington.

sobayquail..if you don't get the subtle dig at a former USC coach...then forget it.

It's not exactly like Holt was given a lot to work with. Idaho was in the Sun Belt Conference until his second year. Tom Cable had 4 losing seasons and almost as bad a winning percentage before Holt took over. Even Dennis Erickson only won 4 games after he took over the year after Holt left. Then Rob Akey proceeded to go 3-21 the next couple years. So I'd hardly say Holt ever really had much chance to succeed in his two years there, nor is his winning percentage a deviation from the norm at Idaho.
