Safety Taylor Mays currently leads USC with 49 tackles.
``It's nice to make tackles but I need to keep people out of the end zone. Some of it falls on me. Some doesn't.''

Mays has been late arriving to the receiver many times this year. "College Football" on ESPN showed how he was getting there late and when he went to hit the receiver he's hitting them with a forearm instead of really sticking them like last year. I think this is because of the "Taylor Mays" rule they inacted to keep receivers safe.

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
