Overpaid
A survey of 95 of the 119 college presidents in the Football Bowl Subdivision by the Knight Commission found that coaches' salaries are, ``the greatest impediment to sustainability.''
A whopping 85 percent of presidents said that ``compensation was excessive for football and basketball coaches.''

Aren't there 120 FBS schools?
These are the same people who think that the BCS is better than a playoff. If they really believe that their coach is overpaid, they should at least acknowledge that their collective lack of leadership is the reason that this is so. They hire the AD's who hire the coaches. It's a free market system. The coaches wouldn't be making these salaries if the schools weren't willing to pay them.
Only Pete Carroll is overpaid.
USC has only won 6 games this season, compared to 12 last year. Scott, I'd really like to get his opinion on why this is the case. He has all this talent, but he can't win more games than last year. Then what else does he need?
I'm a big, smelly turd.
Aren't the Presidents the ones signing these coaches to these salaries?
Slick Rick and Norm Chow are two whom are most definitely overpaid! (for what they're producing!)
