QB Fawning Club
Pete Carroll is facing competition from Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh, who said of his quarterback, redshirt freshman Andrew Luck:
``I think Andrew is the best quarterback in the country. I've not seen a better one.''
Here's the efficiency ratings for the top three Pac-10 QBs.
Matt Barkley 148.73 (Fr.)
Andrew Luck 148.47 (Rs. Fr.)
Nick Foles 147.55 (Soph.)

I'll try to be objective which is the right thing to do when you DO a comparison, period. I have NOT watched neither Luck NOR Foles(AZ) playing to state unequivocally who's the best out of the three.
Mr. Wolf gives you the NCAA QB ratings of ALL of them. Is that a good or a bad practice? It is bad because you don't have the stats to get/calculate those ratings, really?
I'll give you those stats plus the link that explains how to calculate those ratings. If you were able to handle basic to intermediate HS algebra you should NOT have any problems.
[Barkley(USC)] 97/161 passes, 1540 yds, 7 TD's and 5 INT's, 148.7(NCAA), 93.7(NFL). [Luck(Stanford)]114/196 passes, 1825 yds, 9 TD's and 3 INT's, 148.5(NCAA), 98.3(NFL). [Foles(AZ)] 138/191 passes, 1399 yds, 11 TD's and 5 INT's, 147.6(NCAA) and 101.1(NFL).
Check: http://football.stassen.com/pass-eff/ for both the NCAA and NFL formulas.
Finally I'll post my opinion after hopefully some of you give your Feedback.
Thanks
Luck has played in 8 games to Barkley and Foles' 6 games. So I think the comparison is really between Barkley and Foles. They're all putting up numbers you would expect from a very good 5th year Senior. I think that's what PC and Harbaugh are saying, they're just more colorful than old-style coaches in dishing out praise.
