USC v. OSU

Sports Illustrated's playoff bracket doesn't make a great case for a playoff when it has USC playing Ohio State (again!) in the first round. Full bracket after the jump.

THIS WEEK'S SI PLAYOFF BRACKET:

No. 1 Alabama (211 points) vs. No. 16 Nebraska (12)

No. 2 Florida (209) vs. No. 15 Oklahoma State (14)

No. 3 Texas (198) vs. No. 14 Auburn (50)

No. 4 LSU (174) vs. No. 13 Oregon (62)

No. 5 Virginia Tech (151) vs. No. 12 Iowa (67)

No. 6 Boise State (140) vs. No. 11 Miami (93)

No. 7 USC (137) vs. No. 10 Ohio State (96)

No. 8 Cincinnati (136) vs. No. 9 TCU (97)

The good news about this table is that nearly half of those teams will not be on the list by year's end, meaning at least Iowa, Nebraska, TCU, Auburn among them.
