10 Wins Streak
Texas has extended its streak to nine straight 10-win seasons. That's the nation's longest active streak, a UT record and now stands as the second-longest 10-win victory string in NCAA history (trailing only Florida State's 14 in a row from 1987-2000).
USC's won 10 or more games for seven straight seasons and needs to win its final two regular-season games and bowl game to keep it going.

Fight on Trojans!
We can still do it!
wow. that's impressive stuff on Texas' part.
and i now admit i was wrong: add '2005 BCS Natl Champ Longhorns to the list of football programs who have had more impressive results than Chetey Petey: FL & LSU who have 2 Crystals each, as well as Fl.St, OSU & OK who all have more appearances in the BSC Championship Game.
Southern Cal football dominance is turning out to be a bigger urban myth than the Cupacabra.
Hey CB:
"Southern Cal football dominance is turning out to be a bigger urban myth than the Cupacabra."
How about USC's 9-1 record against the bRuins since 1999? By the evening of November 28th, it will be 10-1. No urban myth there. Just cold, hard facts.
Save your BCS rantings until the bRuins actually contend for a Pac-10 football title, which USC has won 7 years in a row before this season. The bRuins best Pac-10 finish was 3rd place (2005) since they last won the Pac-10 in the prior century (1998).
Oh well, at least basketball season has started. How about those Titans!
I wonder what WestTurds record for consecutive 10 win seasons is? ......It's 2, '97 and '98.
