After the game, a Stanford official on the Coliseum said, ``They dropped 50 on us in 2006, so screw them.''
Actually, it was 42 points in 2006 and didn't that 2007 upset make up for it? Apparently not as Jim Harbaugh went for 2 points up 48-21.

Karma has come knockin on petey's door and bit him on his sorry, old, cheatin, whiny, pompous azz! Chew on that for a few weeks petey! L(My)AO!!!

Jim Harbaugh was very classless by running up the points.

And when Stanford dropped 42 on San Jose State back in week 3? Screw them too, I guess.

Ex-Cop Author Profile Page said:

This whole "running up the score" nonsense needs to stop. I have no problem with lopsided outcomes. If Stanford finds the end zone eight times, so be it. We couldn't stop their offense, frankly it's more insulting to suggest that Stanford should take pity on us and let up.

But going for 2 with 6 minutes left and a four TD advantage is classless, I'll grant you that.

Going for 2 with the score 48-21 is classless. But that's OK, it will make it sweeter when we crush them next year.

Champion, i am giving you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are joking....and your comment is hillarious.

over the years, chetey petey routinely passed the ball deep when beating opponents handilly, and i mean well into the fourth quarter when facing an clearly outmanned opponent.

Stanford called a timeout last year with seconds left to get in one more play....a meaningless TD pass with no time on the clock. Harbaugh is getting under USC's skin any way he can.

It was an arrogant move that didn't pay off, tch tch tch.

DFWTrojan Author Profile Page said:

Harbaugh will pay. But, his payment will be with Irish ass as the new coach of ND.

spedjones Author Profile Page said:

waaaaahhhh. anyone who whips SC is classless. get used to it, losers.

Ex-Cop Author Profile Page said:

Wrong. Anyone who makes the studied decision, up 27 points with 6:00 left, to attempt a 2 point conversion is classless.

spedjones Author Profile Page said:

fake punts late in the 4th after the game's well in hand, TD's with your third string, giant lopsided wins over lesser teams...it's all coming back to you. Oregon was classless when they beat SC, now Stanford is classless. Rather than worry about Stanford's level of class (in big boy football, not pop warner, mind you), I'd be worried about how they were able to roll over you so easily in the first place.

Oh, give me a break. I'm as big a Trojan fan as anyone, but only whiny losers complain about running up the score. Step on your opponents' neck, if you can. And don't complain about it when someone else steps on your's. What we need to complain about is our own team and the fact that someone could beat us so bad that we have to cry like 8 year old girls that they were 'classless' about how they did it.

Augustine Author Profile Page said:

I'm with Matthew.

I'm a Trojan fan. But if you beating us, and you want to hit us again, heck, that's your choice.

Didn't we earn it? We played lousy.

And the problem is not just on the defensive side. It's also on the offensive side.

I'm guessing but it sure seems there may be some attitude problems beneath the surface.

the strategic play is to go for 1 to be up by 28, which is a tie at 4 tds + 4 kicks

pac10 coaches ALL hate each other...
just wait until the weasil wins a meaningful game

The 2 pt convertion shows there is something going on but truly who cares. this non-team hasn't played well since Ohio. It is up to the coach and his staff to figure out how be a team again and I hope it's sooner than next year. OH and Charlie you are a Dick and your bucket is full.

"Screw 'em"? From a highly educated Stanford official? Class? Hmmm. You can understand Harbaugh, a MICHIGAN MAN. Got news for Stanford and Harbaugh, if Oregon takes care of its business, you WILL NOT go to a top tier bowl. The only way for Stanford to get to a BCS bowl is the Rose Bowl. No other BSC bowl wants them or any other Pac 10 school-EXCEPT USC. So enjoy your victory, you deserve it. Oh well, back to physics class.

Get over it Cheatey Petey....Stanford was just "always comPETE"-ing...oh and they're using your "Win Forever" philosophy. Now you know how it feels for others when you used to go for it on 4th down at the end of 4th quarter blow out.

You can tell more about people's character when they lose than when they win. Petey Carroll looks foolish.

funny the one thing that seems to be missing among all the Southern Cal rants is the customary promise to crush the Bruins what we meet...hmmm, i certainly find that queer...

The bRuins on here saying we run up the score are clearly delusional. I for one have no problem with anyone running up the score. Even Harbuagh going for two.

However, Pete doesn't run up scores. I actually wish he did. He puts in backup QBs and runs backup tailbacks on every down. No passes.

Please use your public school education and find me an example of USC intentionally and maliciously running up the score. Just one.

The difference is that USC scored 42 without trying to run up the score. The score was 28-0 at halftime, and USC scored a TD in the third quarter and another in the fourth. The third quarter TD was off a blocked FG and the fourth quarter one was a run by Mark Sanchez (then the backup QB).

That game could have been 70-0.
