Answer Thursday! (Part 2)
We will have an Oregon cheerleader update in the next few days. Never fear, we did speak to Amanda Pflugrad.
Q: I think that the PAC 10 officials had another lousy performance during Saturdays game. Any explanation for this especially on James Rodgers touchdown where Taylor Mays rips off his helmet in the end zone with the ref right there?
A: No explanation other than it's the Pac-10. The ref was suspended but it seemed almost a grandstand suspension given some of the other bad plays this season that did not result in any penalties.

USC has been outscored 26-14 in the last two 4th quarters against ND and Oregon St. What do you think has been the cause of this disturbing pattern: Lack of killer instinct? Letting up after getting a big lead? Failure to make adjustments? Poor pass defense (or playing a prevent defense)? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. As always, thanks for the forum Scott?
A: I think in the Oregon State game, there was a mental letdown and feeling the game was over. In the Oregon game, the defense was confused by Oregon's offense and surprised by how well it worked. So they just did not know how to respond. And the coaches' input was not helpful.

HI SCOTT:
Not to think negatively, but if we lose to the Ducks and then win out, would you say it's almost certain we would get an invite to the Fiesta Bowl to keep our BCS bowl streak alive anyway? Thank you, Scott, for your opinion.
A: I answered this in the other forums this week too. Right now, I do not think a BCS bowl game would be interested from an attendance factor. With four weeks left, it could change but at the moment does not look good, in my opinion.

"I answered this in the other forums" - That's what happens when you answers two-week old questions.
