Oregon cheerleader Katelynn Johnson, who graciously posed in our picture last year at the Coliseum, was carted off the field tonight after being hit by a water bottle after the Ducks beat Arizona in double OT tonight.

Oh no. Remember when the Cat hoops fans threw a bottle on the court during the SC game? Then-coach KO had to grab the mike and reprimand them. Scumbags. They get a little crazy living in the desert. But, this could have just as easily happened at Cal or Autzen. Katelynn rocks! Scott, please give us a daily update on one of our fave Duckettes. Maybe you should post on behalf of the blog on her FB page.
Subsequent press reports say:
1. Katelynn will be fine but is being held for observation.
2. A whole mountain of trash rained down on the Oregon contingent after the game, including bottles ... and even used batteries.
3. The source of the trash was NOT the student section: it was the fan section near the end zone tunnel.
UA fans still 3rd, behind Cal & ASU. These people are mean. Duck fans are just dumb.
That's too bad. Glad to hear she's going to be OK.
That having been said, Oregon knows bad fan behavior when they see it. They are the model.

id like to see that bottle thrower held to same high standards of behavior that blount was held to
i haven't been to a game yet, but from what i heard about what happens at autzen (including outside the stadium), the duck fans probably are the worst - much of that fueled by alcohol
one constant that will never change: riff-raff make the worst fans- just look at the raiders
