Why did Jordan Congdon attempt that 47-yard FG against Arizona State, when it's normally out of his range and a better-suited kick for Jake Harfman?
``He hit them good in pre-game,'' USC coach Pete Carroll said. ``He was hitting them from 60 yards.''
The desert provides for longer range kicks, but in day games, not night games. So it seemed a dubious decision under any circumstance.

You'd think the coaches would have some rational justification for sending Congdom out there to attempt these 40+ FGs. But Congdom is doing a good job of making them look like fools by leaving them all short. He does kick them all straight, though...
