I find that hard to believe there wasn't a tie in College Football in 10 years.

He said SCORELESS tie. As in no one scored the whole game and then it just ended.

It's REALLY easy to do research now because of the wondrous series of tubes known as the Internet. Overtime started in 1996 NOT 1994. It took me 30 seconds to find it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_football

And, if you really want to do your due journalistic diligence (not that you would ever care about that) you can also research it on a non-wiki site. That miraculous tool known as Google can let you look through the NCAA archives for the answer: http://web1.ncaa.org/web_files/NCAANewsArchive/1996/960930/active/3334n03.html

This isn't a matter of attempting partiality (once again, not that you ever care about that) but of getting REALLY basic facts straight. Maybe one day, Wolf, but probably not....

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
