Orange Bowl Bound?

Shades of 2002. Too bad we won't get Iowa to pick into pieces and Ashley Simpson to make us want to, uh, uh, uh, uh, scream.

ha - the audio was terrible for the halftime show (if memory serves it sounded bad during Kelly Clarkson too) - but yah - aside from the butt kicking that day, the crowd of 60k people booing in unison to an atrocious "singing" performance may have been the most memorable part of that game.

Damnit Bosco, now I'm going to have that line stuck in my head the rest of the day.

I'd be happy with the Orange Bowl v. Georgia Tech btw. It's a major bowl and a beatable team.

Is Ashley Simpson an agile quarterback who can run and pass a little? Is FSC a Bruin in drag who secretly wants Hackett back? Problem is he may be partly right: a BCS bowl is probably a reach but we should still give thanks for Pete Carroll. We may all be looking back on this, however, and WISHING we were headed for Florida on 1/1 instead of playing in the first or second week of December.

The Ashley Simpson debacle was in the National Championship Game against Oklahoma not Iowa.

Might be fun to go back to square one. 2003 Orange Bowl was the beginning of the USC dominant years, and would be an excellent way to start another run. But first must get thru Stanford. Not impossible, but a serious challenge. FSC, your Bruins haven't BCS'd in longer than I can remember, so dial back the sarcasm.

scottrojan is right. Damn, all those BCS bowl games run together this decade! A real coach would have us in a wider variety of memorable games.
