Quick Thought
We mentioned last weekend that Notre Dame could conceivably play USC in the Sun Bowl. But when the Irish fire Charlie Weis, will a bowl bid even be accepted?

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

They would likely wait until after the bowl game. Notre Dame probably has more class than to fire him any earlier. Wouldn't you agree?
trojansc10..........no I don't agree. It's important to get the best coach and they can't wait till after the bowl. It's more likely that they would let him coach the bowl even after firing him or not play at all.
ND's time-line depends on whether they have reached some secret agreement with another coach, like a Brian Kelly. If that were the case, then ND could afford to wait until after the bowl games to announce it.
In any event, the AD is going to meet with Weis after the Stanford game. Presumably, he will be fired. I bet that ND will go to a bowl game, and have Weis-the-lame-duck coach it. He won't refuse.
The latest is that ND AD has decided NOT to let CW recruit in the West coast(mostly California) after the Stanford game. Either way you can interpret CW is finito at ND. Brian Kelley answered questions extremely carefully making sure he did NOT hint in any way...
i wouldnt be suprised to see stanford really kick ND's ass - and jimmy throw a hissy fit
weiss will try to coach a good game, but his players are thinking about 'next year' - and his QB is thinking about 'next beer'
weiss gets fired and jimmy gets another black eye
