A: What didn't he do? He didn't play for a team that won as many games as people thought. And he did not intercept as many passes as people would like to see. And he played 18 yards behind the line of scrimmage. A year ago, the line was Mays would play closer to the line when he returned for his senior season. But it did not happen.

Scott, what odds would you place on the Trojans signing DE/LB Chris Martin (verbal to ND)? Seems like a player of Martin's caliber could get immediate playing time next year especially if Griffen goes pro.

A: I'd say it's about a 35 percent chance right now and we'll see what happens now that Brian Kelly is emailing him since he got hired at Notre Dame.
