I had a few good years from 2004 - 2006, but it has
been downhill since then. I always recruit very well,
yet, I never win the NC. And the past few years. my
team has been getting beaten regularly by inferior squads, sometimes in blow outs, on national TV. All
the players say they love me, but my team also looks
terrible taking penalties and missing assignments and
we aren't really relevent anymore in the world of
college football....

If Bates does all the play calling, then what is Ruel's job, spotting match-ups? and Pete doesn't have any input...only the naive would by that story.

Has to be Charlie Weis, for the following reasons....
I never win an NC? Pete Carroll won two national championships. A few good years between 2004 - 2006? Pete won the Rose Bowl last year by a blow out on National TV (actually 3 out of the last 4 Rose Bowls) , so I would say great years up until the last 2 months. Also Pete has never been beaten "regularly" by inferior squads. Also SC to my recollection has not been blown out on national TV from 2006 onward (maybe once, or on a national network, but west coast feed only) and finally SC is still very relevant in the world of College Football, for proof please watch the first round of this years NFL draft and also watch national signing day. Then tell me what other college Football team is more relevant than SC on those two days.
So the answer is Charlie Weis. What do I win?

It amazes me that the USC coaching staff, including "Punt, Pete, Punt" Carroll didnt know what is going on with their own players...something smells fishy to me and its not the fish market at the Emerald Bowl, the dazzling bowl game the trojans played down to make!!!
