BCS Marks
Florida improved to 5-1 in BCS bowl games. The five BCS wins are tied for second with Ohio State, trailing only USC's total of six.
Florida became the first program in FBS college football history to notch 13 wins in consecutive seasons. The Gators finished 13-1 for the third time in four seasons. This is the first time in FBS college football history that this has happened.

"Inside USC."
I go to ESPN when I want to read about stuff like that, what does Florida have to do with USC? USC didn't play in a BCS game this year, so who cares? Oh, they're 1 game away from having 6 BCS wins like USC? Well, unforunately for you wolf, Florida is without Timmy Tebow next year, and likely without a BCS bid/win next year.
Do your job! Inside USC! Not Inside AllofCollegeFootball!
it's a lot easier to win 13 games in a season when you play division II schools every year, a few less chances to get beat. the sec is a joke.
First the obsession with nuts and now Timmy Tebow.
Smeagol-Wolfe must have been crying tears of joy into his Cosmopolitan last night.
MB7......I agree. I come to USC sites to get USC information. You have to weed through too much shit here to get to actual SC stuff.
Who cares about Florida? We are EMERALD BOWL CHAMPIONS for crying out loud. So some respect Wolfie.
USC Alum '02
Scott,
Dont forget, Pete holds the record for winning the most games in a 4 year period WITHOUT winning a National Championship. Will probably never be broken.
Thats why he's Second-Place Pete!!!!!!!!!!
USC'89: The Inside UCLA blog is on another site. So you and Wolf can go over there. The bowl results this year should point out just how difficult it is to get to and win a BCS bowl game, so these "stats" you mention are probably the most commendable stats in college football, certainly the most BCS wins. National Championships? Only one team wins, but stay on top of your conference? Just to get to a BCS game? Ask Florida, Alabama, etc how hard that is. Moral of story? The argument you make against PC is actually the best argument as to why he is one of if not the most talented coaches in college football.
How long have 12 games, not including bowls been allowed??? Not that long... certainly more realistic than making it sound like 100 plus years of football history.
MAB..89 just gets off playing devils advocate. He's actually probably not even a Trojan...as it seems to just be expected that a poster is around here. When have you ever read anything he's posted that made you think that he's proud of the University? Supports the program? Accepts the fabulous degree of national respect that Troy receives even from the haters? In fact when have you ever read anything that he's ever posted that makes you think that he wants us to win?
Fight On!
USC89 still blames Pete Carroll for the safety that USC gave up in the waning moments of a 55-19 blowout over Oklahoma in 2005 Orange Bowl/BCS Title game. Although Coach Carroll is not above criticism for this season, he is still the best coach USC football has employed in a long time.
I would respect Florida alot more if they took their act out on the road; besides playing 3 to 4 Division II/III schools per year when was the last time they played OOC west of the Mississippi?
Gnossos.........Florida hasn't played an OOC outside of the State of Florida since something like 1987. They only had 4 road games this year. It's a joke.
