I love this guy
I am going to follow him just like I follow Carson, Reggie, Lofa, Matt, Cody, Stevie, etc. etc. I wish him nothing but the best.
Fight on!
I watched both his Press Conferences, SC and Seattle, the man has shown nothing but dignity in both.
He will bring an atmosphere of enthusiasm and energy sorely needed to Seattle.
I sincerely hope that those who will make the call on the next face of TROJAN FOOTBALL will not lose sight of the tremendous efforts this man has put forth for the University and the marvelous results we have all enjoyed, and make the choice of someone who can and will be as dynamic and successful.
Best of Luck, Peter Perfect
FIGHT ON!
You need to read T.J. Simmers column in the LA Times, the picture of a disinterested and arrogant Garrett has really irritated me...he is such a SCHMUCK!
Pete is truly a diamond. He will always and forever be loved by the Trojan family. I knew i would dread this day, but I am so grateful for what Carroll has done. Not only am i grateful for his accomplishments but just himself as a person. Coaches and people like Carroll are rare.
Fight On!
Over to Seattle, in his presser he was not his usual self. I can assume he had to be a little more professional and that's understandable. I believe Carroll has the "POTENTIAL" to evolve the way head coaching is described in the NFL. I can see PC 2-3 years Super Bowl champs.
And finally, listening to an interview on 710 with Jordan Babineaux (Seahawk SS), he was very negative with the thought of Carroll coaching. He somewhat mocked Carroll's personality (rah-rah). I hope players are grateful for PC. How does this team expect change and success with a traditional NFL coach? Change will only come if teams are open to a different approach. PC is that guy.
Pete is awesome. Not perfect, just awesome. Second-hand Wolf cannot go a day without knocking the best thing EVER to happen to USC football. Hey Wulf, why is it that your stories rarely have firsthand quotes? Doofus.
Nice to read all those favorable comments above. Beats the heck out of negativity, of which we have heard a ton of the past days.
McKay had great teams in 1962, 1967, 1972 and 1974.
But Carroll had great teams from 2002-2008. There were no gaps in his run at SC, every year Troy had a shot at playing in the National Championship game. We won't see the likes of that run ever again. I hope the negative folks out there won't lose sight of that.
And as for the SUCLA cockroaches who have been beside themselves over SC's misfortunes and spewing their profanity on the SC blog, is there any wonder nobody respects them.
Lawyer John your comment made me laugh. No one respects USC because Carroll won but only by not playing on a level playing field, thats why Bruin fans are negative. In the old days, if USC beat UCLA, UCLA fans would accept defeat, but knowing they have been getting to where they are by abiding with a different set of rules has not been right and not fair to all the teams that were smoked along the way. The other thing that kills is that these rules and sanctions are affecting kids who are currently playing? Don't you feel bad that Tim Floyd's mistakes are affecting this current team? Pete Carrol is pulling a Calipari, he may be a great guy but it is tough to root for him now
FIGHT ON PETE!!
