Even More Power

Now we hear that USC offensive line coach Pat Ruel will not go to Seattle because Jeremy Bates wants to make his own hire for the position. Again, is this the recipe for NFL success?

From the onset Carroll is showing why he is meant for college. What opportunity can't he pass up? going 6-10, 8-8 at best and slipping back in mediocrity...

Coach Carroll must really want a challenge because so far the decisions he has made are childish and absolutely laughable!

In a couple months everyone will see he bailed because of sanctions... he knew it was go or be asked to leave. what a douche bag... making it look like he loves competition so much.

finally the pac 10 is wide open, and then he bails? i thought he liked challenges? what a tool

This is hilarious!!! I laughed when I first read this, Bates was a terrible coach this past year with the trojans, not creative, smart enough, the seachickens are gonna suck

What is with PC's obsession with Jeremy Bates??? The guy is a bum. I could have looked like a genius in Denver with Cutler, Marshall, Royal & Scheffler!! They were loaded! His play-calling this year was suspect at best. The guy is just another silver-spoon son of a coach. This old boy's network of coaching really pisses me off sometimes. This is one of those times.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
